Prior to becoming a licensed professional counselor I worked in a number of related counseling areas. Our histories create in us the skills to manage or mismanage; to be brave or be fearful; to trust and mistrust and to know when to love or love till it hurts. Do you often find that as you make your way through life you encounter self doubt, frightening levels of hopelessness and fear? As you struggle with these questions, issues and feeling, your struggle may be weighed down by a sense of fear as to who to trust and how to love.
I work with families and individuals. Couples struggling with their relationship; the parent living with the challenging adolescent who questions; the pre-adolescent struggling to validate and create their own identity. The individual who comes in hopeless. My goal is to help my clients learn skills and gain understanding for a more full-filling life.
My practice is small, with a homey atomshpere where the individual, couple and/or family can feel safe in sharing what is on their heart and mind. Therapy is a learning experience. I desire for my clients to leave with knowledge, skills and insight to use daily to enrich their lives.
