The therapeutic relationships is always the foundation for meaningful engagement in the process. Thus, In our work together I will prioritize meeting you where you are while also challenging you to consider new ideas, perspectives, and insights. Through our work together you will find belief in yourself and find ways to make meaning out of challenges and hard times.
As a practitioner my work is rooted in acceptance and commitment based techniques, cognitive-behavioral methods, and a mindful approach. This approach can be a useful in normalizing mental health struggles and in developing increased self-awareness and self-compassion. I also implement motivational interviewing to ensure that our meetings are conversational.
Life can present difficulties and unexpected circumstances, for that reason (amongst so many others) seeking out therapy is a sign of resourcefulness and strength! I am humbled and excited to be of support either in office or via telehealth. I encourage you to reach out however you are most comfortable to see if working together would be good fit!
