Recent Updates From Siobhan Florek
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024

My passion is helping clients find their way to more meaningful, connected lives. This may involve learning to cope with feelings of being stuck, alone or overwhelmed that often go with life transitions, losses or painful past experiences. I can work with you on healthy ways to manage stress, anxiety, and depression, process grief, improve relationships with partners, family or friends, and overcome shame and trauma. I have loved working with clients from many different backgrounds, nationalities, life experiences and stages, from students to seniors, exploring their perspectives, challenges and strengths.
I believe that we all have the potential for healing. Non-judgmental, supportive listening is key to my approach. Successful therapy involves creating a safe space to explore ingrained patterns of coping and develop strengths that you may not realize you have. I draw from mindfulness, attachment theory, IFS, and current neuroscience, and also use EMDR.
Together we can discover ways to better listen to your needs, grieve losses and build a deeper sense of connection with yourself and others. It takes courage to reach out and do this work; I will be there to support and guide you. When you feel ready, contact me for a free consultation, including any questions you may have.
