Recent Updates From Luis Ocampo
Last updated | Tuesday February 18, 2025

We'll explore how to identify and reframe negative thoughts, learn and implement new behaviors and learn to regulate mood. We'll also explore how your childhood experiences might impact and inform your current ability to form meaningful bonds. I'm a bilingual (English and Spanish) who works with BIPOC, AAPI, Latinx, LGBTQ+ (diverse) clients. We identify cognitive, emotional and behavioral distress related to ADHD and neurodivergence, roles an expectations, discrimination, shame, transitions, socioeconomic stress, anxiety, grief, trauma and/or abuse, racial, ethic and cultural identity, and relationships.
I use foundations of psychodynamic and attachment frameworks such as Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and trauma focused therapies to help my clients identify strategies and interventions that help alleviate or eliminate the impact of distress and symptoms.
It is important for all people to feel safe and that they have a place of belonging. I work to ensure that clients feel heard, seen, felt and supported. I ask thoughtful and objective questions to learn and understand clients' unique struggles, perspectives, preferred ways of being, interests, and ambitions. I will at times challenge you toward growth.
