Recent Updates From Sierra Kohler
Last updated | Wednesday March 26, 2025

I believe that every person is the expert of their own world. My job is to listen with empathy and without judgment in order to gain a full understanding of the individual and their presenting problems, and create a fitting treatment plan. My goal is to create a safe space where clients feel heard and understood, and to build a therapeutic relationship in which we can work together to meet clients' therapeutic goals. I encourage clients to reflect on their ways of relating to the world to help them gain insight into how their thoughts, attitudes, emotions and behaviors affect themselves and others.
I approach counseling from person-centered and cognitive-behavioral therapy lenses, while also drawing from a variety of evidence based therapeutic techniques including dialectical-behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and relational therapy.
Life is messy, unpredictable, and often difficult, but it can also be beautiful and fulfilling. We all have the capacity to live a happy and healthy life, no matter what life throws our way, but sometimes we need help along the way. I would be honored to support and empower you on your journey toward growth and healing. I look forward to meeting you soon!
