Recent Updates From Alanna D.
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
People are occasionally presented with circumstances that tax their ability to effectively cope with life's challenges. A central aspect to helping clients is my belief in the unique qualities and strengths of each person. In a warm and empathic environment these core strengths can be drawn out, amplified and enlisted to solve their problems and meet life challenges. The goal is to help people enhance understanding and develop new skills that create a sense of competence, balance and well being. This process provides the foundation for personal growth and positive change in one's life.
I use a variety of strategies to help clients reach goals and feel better. This includes but is not limited to exploring the effects of one's past on current problems, how thoughts and feelings influence our behavior, how changes in behavior can change our perception of ourselves, and the significance of current relationships in shaping our lived experience.
