Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
My ideal client is one who is willing to work on their mental health in a positive and meaningful way. I have experience working with children, families and individuals who have been diagnosed with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, dissociative identity disorder, adoption issues, attachment issues, oppositional defiant disorder, ADHD and Autism. I also have extensive knowledge in high-conflict parenting dynamics and frequently consult with mediators or Parenting Consultants to assist in my client's progress. I am also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner for individuals struggling with emotional regulation and trauma.
I have a passion for working with people who have experienced trauma. My model of working with individuals with trauma is a somatic approach, you can learn more at https://traumahealing.org. In addition, I bring my miniature schnauzer, Maverick, to the office if that is something you are interested in.
In my practice, I work with adults, teens and children. At Parasol Wellness Collaborative, I have a room that has an area for play and a couch and chair for talk or somatic therapy work. I use many modalities and am very client centered - I never push my agenda on clients but invite them to create their own goals and a means of achieving them.
