Recent Updates From Beth Ann
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Reaching out to seek therapy says something positive about you! It reflects that you recognize the need to ask for help, which is always the first step and sometimes, the hardest step. It also means you are coming into therapy with an open mindset and are willing to do the work necessary to achieve your goals. I am passionate about developing a healthy, trusting relationship with my clients, so we can begin to work on whatever issues you are facing. I specialize in treating issues related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, grief, and career counseling.
I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from East Carolina University and my Master of Social Work degree with a mental health specialization, from Delaware State University. I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health facilities as well as spending over 25 years working as a medical/psychiatric social worker.
My philosophy on mental and emotional wellness is that it involves the whole person, so my approach is very eclectic and holistic. I utilize modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and dialectical therapy approaches, and I always operate from a strength’s perspective. I believe we all have the power to create the life we desire.
