My ideal client comes to me seeking to regain a balance in their life they may have lost. I have experience with clients who have dealt with various issues such as trauma, addiction, depression, and more. For each and every one of them, I meet them where they are. I then create personalized goals to regain a sense of normalcy and understanding they may have forgotten. They often come to me not always knowing what to fully expect, however, we always make progress in discovering what it is that they may need.
I mainly use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), that I occasionally mix with some DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), if needed. CBT helps to create an environment where I get to understand my client's worldview. I then use what I learn to identify patterns and unhelpful ways of thinking that are affecting their behavior.
