Recent Updates From Renee May
Last updated | Wednesday March 26, 2025

There are times when we outgrow our current coping skills and need to refocus our energy and will. Balancing our ways we survive is key by using different strategies and techniques that are carved out for each one of us. Being an art therapist and a clinical social worker, I believe that in my work with children, adolescents, and adults a way exists in finding the best self that is somewhere within themselves. Using cognitive behavioral therapy with a client-centered focus, I can join with and provide an outlet for clients to share experiences and work together to foster an improved sense of self and well-being.
I have been working with clients with various needs ranging from ADHD, to anxiety, depression, mood, personality and traumatic experiences, to help them as I approach with an open mind and kind, non-judgmental regard for all. Art materials can be incorporated into the sessions as needed and experimentation with different media is known to relax and engage.
A thorough assessment will be administered at the first visit to gather demographic information and the presenting needs to determine the best course of treatment. Building a relationship is the strongest and most effective way to help! Offering daytime and some evening hours, I am flexible to schedule. I am providing virtual sessions at this time only.
