Recent Updates From Ian Esmay
Last updated | Tuesday March 25, 2025

Suffering is inevitable, and that really sucks. Sometimes you feel like nothing will ever get better, everything is your fault, and if you ever show your true self to the world, everyone will reject you. We wake up feeling like we can’t do this again, we’re completely unlovable, and everyone is always judging us. Deep down, you just want to be accepted for who you are. You are worthy of being seen and heard! Through therapy, you can stop numbing yourself and accept your true self.
I am an LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC affirmative counselor serving the states of NC and SC through online therapy. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for anyone who wants to be their authentic self and connect with an authentic therapist. I strive to make help attainable to anyone who needs it by having evening hours and flexible payment options available.
Asking for help may be very scary, but it is a huge first step; I know what it is like to be on the other side of the couch (or screen). Text or call me for your free consultation to see if we would be a good fit: 980-484-3728. If you want to learn more about me, please check out my website: esmaycounseling.com or message me anytime.
