Welcome to my Profile Page! Here's some info about me...
I have a Masters in Community Counseling degree from The College of New Jersey, graduating with honors in 2006, and have additional post-Masters credits in Counseling from Monmouth University and 12 doctoral credits in Psychology from Capella University. I'm an active member of Chi Sigma Iota, the international Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society, as well as the American Counseling Association and the American Psychological Association.
I'm dually licensed in New Jersey as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), in addition to being a National Certified Counselor (NCC). My specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, relationship issues, and others. I also have specialized training in Cognitive-Behavioral and Rational-Emotive Behavior therapies, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for post-traumatic stress and other traumas, and Harm Reduction to name a few.
As my client, you have access to my 24/7 emergency hotline, and you're entitled to one free five- to ten-minute phone check-in per week. I also work collaboratively with other providers, particularly psychiatrists, psych NPs and PAs, to ensure good continuity of care for my clients.
I offer in-person and virtual sessions as well as convenient daytime and evening hours. And I accept most major insurance plans.
