You deserve a life that brings you happiness and makes you feel at peace. Many of us at some point in our life have suffered with depression and anxiety that leaves us feeling stuck, but there is hope. There is hope if you are struggling with addiction, to overcome your past, or a parent struggling with their child's behaviors. I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for. During my years as a therapist, I have helped individuals, children/teens, and families find healing and understanding. Reaching out for help can be intimidating, but I hope you will make that call and see how I can help. I want you to be able to have the life that you desire and deserve. A life where anxiety/depression doesn't control you, free from long term emotional pain, and to be in control of your own life. What would that life look like for you? I can help you achieve that life by guiding you through problem solving and identifying/building your strengths. It takes a lot of courage to ask for help and live the life that you deserve instead of just surviving it. I hope to hear from you and be able to support you through your journey.

Life can feel overwhelming. Past experiences can shape our present view of life, thoughts, and behaviors as well as impact the future. Trauma is not a theirs is worse than mine experience, we each experience and react like the amazingly unique beings we are. Feelings like shame, guilt, embarrassment are just a few of the residual emotions left by traumatic experiences. Those can create an unhealthy view of ourselves and can lead to a decline in mental health. Overcoming negative life experiences can be similar to opening the curtains making the dark disappear and letting the light back in our lives. Of course while a more traditional talk therapy is always available it is just one of several treatment modalities with a CBT based foundation that I utilize that can assist in healing and growth. My goal is to provide a safe judgement free environment where you can learn to like and love yourself again. As part of Chenal Family Therapy PLC, I consult with our team of therapists and psychiatrists who specialize in different issues, ensuring that all possible treatment approaches are considered. If we encounter problems outside my areas of expertise, I can provide seamless referrals, including testing and medication management, to get you the needed help.

I must be perfect. I will fail. I'm permanently damaged. I cannot trust myself. Do these, or other negative beliefs feel true, even though you may know they're not true? Do you struggle with a past that you try to keep pushed away but it keeps interfering with your life? Do you feel like your experiences have left wounds that you wish would just heal, but they continue to impact you physically, emotionally or relationally? I can help you find freedom from those nagging thoughts, emotions and body sensations that are preventing you from living the life you want to live. I would consider it an honor to help you begin to change the tone of your inner voice and to help you find peace and clarity. I've seen people make amazing transformations by processing their pasts and changing what really "feels true" about themselves. I am a Christian woman who has been married for 25 years and I have two young adult children. I have more than 17 years as a psychotherapist in this area and I have immediate openings available. I utilize Prayer Therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR to help people find peace.

We can all become bogged down by intense emotions that create a hurdle to our ability to function in life, most often at the detriment of success or being able to achieve what we feel are simple tasks in life. I work with clients to help them uncover and make sense of emotional barriers that have plagued them for far too long, often dismissed by others in their lives. Being accepted unconditionally, regardless of background, orientation, or presentation, in a therapeutic setting, you can find more personal potential and free yourself of the "rules" prescribed by the outside world and finally find yourself, the person that matters. You're doing everything in your power to create happiness in your life the best way you can, but perhaps others do not understand or maybe notice what you're doing? It's past time to find who YOU are, define your own path in life, and break away from the expectations and pressures around you. I am honored to work with you during this healing process.

I have been told that I am a good listener. This is an essential quality in a good therapist but it is by no means sufficient. Throughout my training, I have collected what I believe to be the most effective strategies and perspectives for bringing about change in a person's behaviors and beliefs that is consistent with who the individual wishes to be. I am particularly proud that I have been able to work effectively with people of broadly varying belief systems in ways that enable them to call on already existing internal resources to improve their lives within their own personal environment. I most often utilize an ego-state perspective to access and restructure internal resources. I prefer this approach because it effectively brings about change in both thought and feeling and results in durable change that will hold up well over time and situations, rather than sliding back into past unproductive habits and processes. I have extensive training and experience with clinical hypnosis in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, addictions and somatic complaints such as chronic pain or irritable bowel syndrome. I have served as an Approved Consultant through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and I am a Past President of the Arkansas Psychological Association
