Every person has a story to tell. I am passionate about joining people in the traumatic events, anxiety, and depression that have impacted their lives. A goal is to help them change their relationships with those events and to own their stories with a newfound confidence and love for life. I am trained in Brain Spotting (Phase 1) and Emotionally Focused Therapy. My concentration in practice is working with teenagers 14 and older, young adults, adults in careers, military veterans and dependents, and couples. When I am not being an agent of change, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, drinking coffee at a coffee shop, hiking, working out, and spending time with family and friends. I am originally from Lubbock, Texas but have resided in Arkansas for over 9 years.

Anxiety, depression, trauma, or any lived experience can leave us stressed, overwhelmed, or feeling trapped. Living daily life with confidence in the decisions we make, setting boundaries with the people around us, and feeling in control of ourselves can be an empowering experience. Overcoming the negative things we experience is also something that can be gained through therapy. Change is always possible. I have worked with clients across the lifespan with a large variety of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, parenting concerns, and relationship issues. I use EMDR therapy often, but also am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Play Therapy. Life can be difficult. Sometimes finding our own value is made difficult by trying to balance daily demands, remembering the past, or worrying about the future. I am here to assist in finding ways to cope, realize your worth, and empower you!

I specialize in treating individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Many times trauma/stress/distress result in individuals coping and managing alone and I believe the healing work begins when individuals are able to find trusted others to do the work with. I cultivate a safe environment for healing , while being compassionate, understanding, curious, and non-judgmental. I work from a person centered framework to engage with each client to help them add to their adaptive skills ways to navigate life the way that best fits them. I also use my training with Somatic Experiencing to assist clients with becoming friends with their nervous system, helping it to discharge the negative and stressful energy stored there. Reaching out to someone to deal with things that have happened in your life can be a very intimidating process, yet you are here and that in itself is remarkable and courageous. I would love to join you and walk with you through the rest of your journey.
