Please e-mail, to be placed on waitlist. After 15 years working with community-based, non-profit agencies in multiple roles as well as about 20 years working with vulnerable youth, I am happily dedicated to private practice care. My practice is centered around whole-person treatment. Together, we will explore root causes to your symptoms, the narrative of your family system, process old trauma and develop healthy coping skills to manage your symptoms. Trauma, OCD, Generalized Anxiety and Codependency Treatment, are my primary specialties, and I look forward to learning about and helping you identify your unique goals for therapy. I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Trauma-Focused CBT as well as Short-term, Solution Focused Therapy, are efficient in the goal-setting process for most clients. I also use Narrative Therapy and Depression Treatment Quality Improvement (DTQI) methods to support reducing Depression. Treatment is not one-size fits all. My approach is to hold empathy, compassion and work from the stance that everyone can grow into the person they want to be. I do my best to be real and infuse humor in my style of therapy. I believe in humility and appropriate self-disclosure, but the focus is always on you! If you would like a free-consult, please e-mail for the fastest response!

Specialized in IFS, EMDR, Eating Disorders, and Complex Trauma - Do you have negative thoughts about yourself that you can’t shake? Are you trying to feel better but realize everything makes you feel worse? Spend a lot of time thinking critically about your body? My personal approach to therapy is supportive and also direct/down to earth. I'm passionate about working with individuals affected by eating disorders & supporting them into full recovery. My other specialty is with complex trauma and relationship issues. I believe in Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating/Anti-Diet approaches, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. View 4 Photos As a person, I’m relaxed and informal (sometimes a bit of humor helps us open up into deeper issues). I'll also challenge you to go deeper. I want to dig into the topics bringing you in instead of staying on the surface. I use IFS, EMDR, DBT/ACT, and attachment-based approaches to help build skills to feel better in the moment and help it stay that way. Often we come to therapy because we need a push to move forward/make a change, but change can only happen if you feel seen, challenged, and comfortable with the other person in the room. Give me a call/email and see if you feel like I’m someone you can talk to!

The fabric of our lives is interwoven to create a tapestry that is unique to our experiences. At times, some of those experiences can feel overwhelming and confusing to make sense of. Therapy is a highly creative process that allows for weaving in and expanding upon parts of the tapestry, to provide a more robust and multidimensional landscape. So often, we hide parts of ourselves that feel unacceptable and intolerable to others. Together, we can be curious and inviting, creating a space for all of these parts of yourself to be present so that you can foster better relations with yourself and others. Honoring your unique personality and needs, we will work together to determine how the therapeutic relationship can best serve you. My therapeutic style is warm, playful, and direct when needed, influenced by intensive post graduate trainings in psychodynamic psychotherapy. Finding the right therapist can be difficult, which is why I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation to ensure that I may be a good fit for you and your needs at this time. I welcome all questions and am honored to be a part of your healing journey.

The decision to start therapy is a very personal and courageous one. Many of the people I see are struggling with feelings related to anxiety, depression, and/or relationship conflict. As a psychologist and psychoanalyst, I have been helping people understand themselves and make meaningful life changes for over 20 years. In my work with individuals and couples, I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where we work together to understand the patterns that keep you stuck and identify how you can make positive changes in the here and now. View 6 Photos My work with couples ranges from helping people make the commitment of a lifetime to untangling the destructive patterns that have been plaguing them for decades. By identifying and changing destructive patterns into fulfilling interactions, you can find and experience the love, passion, and support that first brought you together. I draw from a variety of perspectives to understand each individual's unique needs and use my years of experience to determine the best course of action. In addition to the work I do in my office, I also offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy - a powerful, experiential model of treatment.
