Therapy is a process of self discovery that helps you understand yourself and resolve difficulties in relationships with others. I have been working with adults, teenagers, families and couples for over 30 years. I treat depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I work with many couples. I see people who have been neglected and abused emotionally. I work deeply and personally with each person/couple to understand their fears and pain. I do my work with great involvement. I am very easy to talk to. I provide a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere that enhances positive change and increased self-esteem. I work with people of all ages. I have a particular skill with teenagers and young adults who are in transitions in their lives. I am certified in couples therapy. I also work with people who have experienced trauma in their lives, including major losses and life changes. I care deeply about my work and the people I see. I feel this is a necessity for successful treatment.I go the distance to make change possible. I bring my own unique understanding of our struggles as people in this world.

What does "balance" and "safety" look like, feel like, and mean to you? I aim to provide a safe, healing space for clients, ensuring I take into account what "safe" and "balance" means to each individual in this current time and how that aligns with current needs, life events, and experiences. I predominantly work with the adolescent & young adult populations, addressing anxiety, relationship with food and body, personality traits/disorders, relationships, and life transitions. I am also passionate about exploring diet culture and the role of wellness culture in our lives. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach to provide you with individualized sessions to account for differences in learning styles, interests, life experiences, goals, and current needs. I'm also a trained DBT therapist, offering individual DBT skills coaching sessions and parent skills coaching sessions to supplement ongoing, therapeutic work. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where feedback works both ways! Please email me to schedule a free, 15-minute phone consultation to see if it's a therapeutic fit, and/or if you have questions about the therapeutic process itself.

Asking for help from another person can be hard, but I see it as a sign of strength. Whether you have reached a point of crisis in your life or are simply looking for a safe space to explore your inner world, I want to help. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship issues, or are feeling stuck and frustrated by painful patterns that keep repeating in your life. Perhaps the vulnerable parts that have been kept hidden in the dark are ready to come out into the light. I approach therapy from a depth-oriented perspective, which means that we look under the surface of things to get to the core and put the healing there. We will work collaboratively to uncover the root causes of your pain, so that you can reclaim your innate sense of self-worth and belonging once again. Rather than looking at you as just a set of symptoms, I see you as a whole person and utilize an intuitive, holistic approach to therapy that considers mind, body, and spirit. I provide empathy, attunement, and nonjudgmental space where you can finally explore your inner world and outer relationships with heartfelt attention.
