I specialize working with trauma related issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues. I have knowledge surrounding foster care and adoption with over 10 years of experience working with children and families in this area. I believe in meeting the client where they are at and providing a client-centered approach. I utilize EMDR, solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Life can sometimes be hard. For many of us there are also challenges to face and difficulties to overcome. If you are in a bad season of life, it may be time to seek assistance to address recurrent or seemingly impossible problems that you face. You may have tried to fix things on your own, or even reached out to family, friends, or others you know without finding much relief. I can provide you with a brief telephone consultation to discuss your concerns or schedule a time to meet with you. I also supervise counselors, so we have a group of therapists to address your particular concerns or needs. I am a seasoned therapist who can provide you with practical understanding and assistance. I can often help sort out difficult or complex psychological problems and assist clients in prioritizing the issues they want to address. I work with children and families, as well as individual adult issues. I integrate a variety of different methods and perspectives based on the presenting needs and concerns of individual clients. Many of the people I work with have had negative life experiences and/or trauma. I approach people with gentleness and empathy. I can help integrate spirituality and a spiritual perspective into the therapy if one desires.
