Immediately following his undergraduate studies, Bolivar knew his life’s work would be helping youth overcome trauma and strengthen families. These passions led Bolivar to a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Child Welfare Studies. In 2013 Bolivar made the decision to join the Department of Family and Protective Services in the Williamson County area. His job with the department, allowed him to work with many diverse families. Throughout his six years of experience, he has developed an understanding of various cultural differences and recognizes the need for trauma-informed care. Today, Bolivar is active in the community through various non-profits and collaborative initiatives. He works with adolescents, young adults, and adults to reach their cognitive behavioral goals.

I have over 8 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations in non-profit and University settings, including minors, couples, college students, and adults, as well as people of different races and ethnicities. I specializes in working with adults and couples looking for practical steps toward personal growth and improved relationships. I help people understand why they are stuck where they are and figure out ways they can help themselves move forward in a way that is holistic and realistic. I believe that in therapy, clients can gain insight about their experiences and relationships, empowering them to make sense of their story. By combining the Enneagram with my systemic therapy framework, I help clients find the strength within themselves to reclaim their story and break from the limitations we put on ourselves. I specialize in individual,children,family and couples therapy. I promote positive and humane treatment for everyone to reach their highest level of functioning in response to feelings of frustration, loss, pain, and lack of hope. Through the use of mindfulness, EMDR therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques, We will work to break this cycle. I am EMDR trained and I think holistically and systemically about solutions. Prior to completion and APRN licensing, received position as APRN working as a provider with the Behavioral Emergency Services Team from the ED that I originated. Once I received APRN licensing and Acute Care Certification, I immediately enrolled for a Post Graduate Certificate for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I received this certification in 2021 and have been practicing in the emergency room and outpatient setting since that time. I recently began contracting with a small ketamine clinic in my town, offering psychiatric evaluations, gene site testing, ketamine infusions for treatment resistant depression, OCD, anxiety and PTSD, ketamine assisted therapy, as well as outpatient medication management for those in need.
