Stephanie is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 19 years of experience in the Mental Health field. Initially in her career she began working with children and adolescents as a psychologist in the school setting; later, while completing a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, she gained experience providing therapy to adults in a psychiatric clinic as well as in private practice. She was part of a foundation which provided group therapy to parents of children with Autism. Stephanie believes in the values of freedom and respect and has been involved in organizations which work to fight against human trafficking. Realizing how this and other social issues impact people’s lives motivated her to obtain a Certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and also EMDR training. She considers it necessary to demonstrate care and compassion and is grateful to have the privilege of witnessing others' growth and recovery. Although the process at times is not easy, she admires her clients for their courage and willingness to work toward their goals.
