I work primarily with children, teenagers, and young adults (college students) who struggle with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, developmental disorders (such as Autism), ADHD, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, and general stress due to life transitions. I have experience working with victims of abuse, and with foster children. I also work with parents who are struggling with their children due to significant behavior or emotional difficulties. I have worked in several settings including psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, schools, community mental health, and in private practice. I was trained in a systems-based approach, which emphasizes learning about others within their different systems (family, friends, school, work, faith, etc.). I work systemically by establishing collaborative relationships with parents, family, schools, medical doctors, psychiatrists, and any other part of a client’s “team” that is deemed to be appropriate. I promise to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you. My goal is to help you grow from your experiences, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. My focus is to provide the tools to help overcome life's challenges, and to walk alongside you in your journey toward health and wellness.
