The arrival of a new life brings both joy and anticipation, and it is my pleasure to support as a therapist specializing in working with birthing people during the perinatal period. As an experienced therapist, I understand that this chapter of life can stir specific, new and overwhelming thoughts and feelings-and I help find resolution and grounding in the face of it all. I offer both practical, everyday tips and tricks, in addition to deeper reflection about what this time period in your life means to you. I am private pay only, but offer some sliding scale spots, work with Lyra EAP, and accept HSA for payment. View 5 Photos Whether you're navigating the beautiful but sometimes overwhelming changes in your body, grappling with anxieties and fears, or simply seeking support and guidance during this transformative time, I am here to lend a caring and compassionate hand. My approach is rooted in creating a safe and nurturing space where you can freely explore what is arising. Whether you're a first-time parent, have experienced previous birth trauma, or are struggling with postpartum mood disorders, please know that you are not alone. I am here to listen, validate your experiences, and collaborate with you to develop personalized strategies that promote healing, resilience, and overall well-being.

Catherine M. Perusse, LCPC, NCC I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho and a National Certified Counselor with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I love to work with adults and adolescents who are feeling stuck in an area of their life, be it personal, professional, or related to family/relationships. I offer brief, solution-based therapy that tackles issues often related to anxiety, stress, and depression. We all have wisdom and courage within us, sometimes, we need help reconnecting with those strengths, and tools to move through difficult issues. Specialties include adolescent depression, anxiety, suicide prevention, and individuals with and developmental disorders. I have a particular passion and expertise for working with teenagers as they struggle to define their identities. When seeing teenagers, I work collaboratively with parents, family, school counselors, pediatricians and others to provide an optimum level of care. Other areas of passion lies in dealing with relationship issues, grief and trauma, and suicide prevention. I provide a non-judgmental and compassionate atmosphere in which individuals can safely explore and work through feelings, thoughts, images and beliefs that may be keeping them stuck. I am eclectic in my orientation and offer a holistic, integrative approach to client-centered therapy, using EMDR, cognitive behavioral techniques, DBT and solution focused therapy.
