Check out our website for more details! I became a therapist because of a void that has existed for decades. A void that allowed black and brown people to be left to find sometimes inadequate ways of dealing with real mental health issues. As you search you will find very few people that look like me that are in profession of mental health. This is unfortunate. Although my caseload is hugely diverse, what comforts my clients is I represent what in my field is lacking...a representative from a disenfranchised group of people helping to build up the individual, repairing relationships and making families whole. For years I have assisted people on their journey of healing and growth with depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, trauma, relationships, family cohesiveness, and self awareness. My approach is real. My experience is competitive. I will offer you an experience that will optimize positive outcomes. Because of my family therapy experience couples seek me because I understand the dynamic of males and process fairly. You’ve already taken the first step to living a fulfilling life! Don’t stop now, call or email today to begin your journey to living life that brings you peace and happiness.

Accepting new clients. You may function well but feel aware of something missing, a confusing or unfulfilling part of your experience. What you know to be true may not align with what you feel or you may have limited control over your behavior in some areas. Even those who can articulate why they started therapy often find that there’s more they were searching for. I think it takes time to work through the layers and find language that fits. I see therapy more as healing and adapting than eliminating bad behaviors. Sometimes your ways of making it through stop working as well. I think our work together is finding a new way View 11 Photos My goal is to listen well, to be present and to be authentic in our relationship. Over time I think we’ll become more familiar with your goals and begin working through some of the obstacles and underlying conflicts. My hope is that you feel more understood and more able to choose what you want when we’re done working together. I think it’s important to make sure we’re a good fit for each other. Feel free to text, call or email me with any questions you may have. You can also request an appointment or schedule online. After trying it out for a few sessions and learning more about each other I think we can talk openly about whether or not it right to continue

I view counseling as a collaborative process where my primary goal is to meet you at whatever point in your journey you are today. I practice Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) to help clients reduce stress, panic and anxiety. Tapping is a confluence of mindfulness, self-compassion, exposure therapy, and accessing the body’s ability to down-regulate our stress response through acupuncture points.

YOU ARE NOT CRAZY. Although your story is unique, research has proven that Partners/Spouses of Infidelity or Compulsive Sexual Behaviors experience broken trust and you're likely experiencing symptoms of PTSD (intrusive thoughts, avoidance of people/places, mood dysregulation, etc). Combined with the discovery or disclosure of the betrayal, the associated behaviors of gaslighting (lies & blame) will lead to feelings of incongruence within your body and mind which can make you feel like you are going crazy. You are not alone, and you are not crazy. There is hope. Hope for healing, restoration, empowerment, and non-victim living. What sets me apart: I am a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT). I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). Together with my business partner and husband, Rick Presley LCMFT, CSAT, we serve our clients individually, in group therapy, and couple's cotherapy (2 therapists in the room). I am also trained in the treatment modality Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This tool works to resolve energy pockets from your past as well as calm fears about the future that show up as anxiety, panic, or phobias.

Life can hit us with challenges, whether they come in the form of unexpected change, unwelcome events, or damage to an important relationship … maybe even the relationship with yourself. During the most difficult days of my own life, key individuals offered me life-giving support, teaching me that I wasn’t the problem – it was the way I chose to cope with it that required the attention. That shift in my thinking opened a path to healing and greater wholeness. It is now my privilege and honor to provide a safe, respectful space where people are fully accepted as they are. I draw from culturally sensitive and evidence-based therapies that focus on attachment, trauma-informed care, and family systems. One of my core beliefs is that everyone is simply doing the best they can at any given time. None of us is meant to manage difficult circumstances alone. You are most certainly worth the effort, and change is more possible than you think.
