Hi and welcome! For starters, reaching out for help isn’t easy, so if you’re here, I commend you. It takes courage and bravery to ask for help! I am a believer that relationships heal, but also realize that often our closest relationships can cause a lot of pain. If you’re dealing with past hurts, difficulty with trust, trying to measure up, and struggling to communicate, I am here to help. How we view ourselves, others, and the world influences how we navigate day to day life and can leave us feeling stressed, overwhelmed, sad, down, hopeless, and uncertain about the future. View 5 Photos I often tell my clients that these emotions are powerful tools and give them the tools to harness that power. With past experience working in youth ministry and family social work, I love to see the “ah hah” moments with my clients as they begin to understand and get excited about exactly who God made them to be and how this transforms their lives. After working with teens, adults, families, and couples, I’ve learned that directness, authenticity, and honesty goes a long way, so this tends to be my approach to therapy. With me, you can expect honesty because my deepest desire is to see you thrive and live the life God desires for you.

Sunday morning session times available starting January 2024! There may be parts of you that are nervous to start therapy. That is so normal. My goal is to create a safe place where we can sit in the mess together. I often see individuals who want to process their experience of life, feel their feelings, and gain practical tools. These individuals may be struggling with substance use, monogamous or polyamorous relationships, life transitions, anxiety, and/or depression. In a sense, I think we're all trying to live life in recovery from the past hurts and present struggles. My approach to therapy is informed by IFS (Internal Family Systems) while keeping in mind your triggers, boundaries, and regulation techniques. Working together means that we celebrate the small wins, take one moment at a time, and gain empowerment to do hard things. I currently have availability for new clients and can be reached via phone or email. If you'd like to go ahead and schedule a session, please do so on my website.

One of my favorite quotes is by Emily Dickinson, "I am out with the lanterns looking for myself." Over the last 46 years of wandering this earth, I don't know a lot to be true, but I strongly believe that we are all doing the best we can with what we have. Sometimes we just don't have what we need. We are all better together. We are all wandering this earth trying to find purpose. And we all need help finding our way. There is a wild and holy beast inside of all of us waiting to be loved and tamed...but kept a little wild. Our wild is our magic. It is why people love us. Please stay a little wild. View 6 Photos Consider me a walking partner on this gnarly trail called life. As a Licensed Professional Therapist and Licensed School Counselor, my goal is to help people find hope. I have been called a Hope Dealer and I am cool with that. My style is fun, direct and focused on your here and now and your future. If you are reading this profile, you are digging deep and ready to do the work. Or you wouldn't be on this site! :) I have a shovel tattoo on my wrist to remind myself to dig deep and do the work. Every day, if we are lucky enough to wake up, we have another chance. I am ready to help you do your life's work with more grace, mercy, hope and love.

If talk therapy has only gotten you so far and hasn’t resonated, or if you are ready to deeply connect to yourself, your feeling states, and your physiology, this is the place for you. In my office, healing happens. We allow you a safe space to get quiet and renegotiate trauma so that you can find yourself, your wisdom, and conquer the world. That’s my passion and that’s what we can help you to do! I use Somatic Experiencing as my main lens for all of the work we do in session. This requires my client to be really ready to slow down and connect to themselves in a way they normally don’t or never would. Somatic Experiencing is a body (soma) centered approach that helps trauma get “unstuck” by gently guiding people to tolerate difficult body sensations and emotions in order to address and treat the root cause of trauma. I love being with clients while they uncover all that their bodies have done to protect them and how much they can overcome. I supplement my SE practice with EMDR, a type of treatment that helps people heal from their trauma using bilateral stimulation. EMDR helps the person understand how their past has influenced how they think about themselves, and to reshape that into something that serves them instead of hurts them. I am so hopeful about your innate ability to heal!
