Accepting New Clients- Do you want to thrive? My counseling philosophy is a strengths-based and holistic approach that is based in the ecological systems theory, which provides a framework for understanding how an individual is impacted by: people in their life, institutions and communities they are a part of, and culture overall. In this way, I am able to provide you with individualized care to meet your unique needs while recognizing that you function as part of a larger system. View 4 Photos Some therapeutic techniques that may be implemented include: Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Talk Therapy. Having a safe place where you are as comfortable as possible is key to sharing hardships. I commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I utilized parts language and the internal family systems modality to help you explore different inner conflicts. My favorite modality is compassion focused therapy because I believe everyone is deserving of love, care, and dignity. Overall, the modality and intervention changes on your needs and is person centered to the struggle at hand. I have worked in private practice doing therapy for over a year now. I help people with medical trauma, chronic pain, and disabilities. Before this I worked with geriatrics, homelessness, and substance use disorders. I have experience working with teenagers, and adults of all ages. I specialize in medical trauma, chronic pain, and disabilities. I have experience working with LGBTQ+, ADHD, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and significant life changes.

Therapy is a great way to help you turn the pain you feel today into the strength you feel tomorrow. My philosophy is simple “I help people become an expert on one subject, themselves”! We as human beings are very complex and often need help to navigate through stress, trauma, and life challenges. I witnessed first hand how therapy can change the trajectory of one’s life. I am committed to working alongside my clients to help them find their inner healing and peace. I have worked with many different cultures, genders, and people from different backgrounds. Licensed in MI and TN The modalities I use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focus, Dialectical Behavior therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. Only seeing clients virtually through zoom.

Wondering why you can't seem to maintain satisfying relationships? Do you oftentimes struggle with identity asking, 'who am I or who should I be?' You have become an expert caretaker specializing in denying your true self and placing other's needs before your own. You have difficulty trusting others with your whole heart and live in fear of not getting your own emotional needs met. Outwardly you appear secure, you have learned to be a doer and a perfectionist, but inwardly you feel fragile and abandoned. Others have accused you of being needy and sensitive which further dismisses who you are. Sounding familiar? Perhaps you are an adult child of emotionally rejecting, distance or self involved parent(s). Maybe you have had to meet your own emotional needs or play the role of a parent, taking on adult responsibilities as a youth. I can help. I specialize in helping those with attachment deficits heal and gain desired connections. My focus is attachment connection and relational healing. We will take a look at developmental wounds that show up in your adult life as emotional deficiencies, insecure identities, and internal fears that work to sabotage who you really are and were meant to be.
