I am open-minded, curious, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I strongly believe in community and reaching out to others for support. Having raised three young adults, I am drawn to conversations about life transition, identity and career exploration, relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, and mental health issues affecting young adults and adults of all ages. I seek to listen to and support adults in their process of healing and self-exploration. As a cis-gendered, white woman who has lived in many different communities around the US, I continue to strive to learn about others’ culture and experiences with humility and curiosity. No matter our background, our journey through life encounters major transitions. Those transitions have a way of making us doubt ourselves. As we try to navigate a new world (whether it is starting school, a new job or life in a new world), we come to know ourselves in ways that we never thought possible. The journey can get ugly at times. When things are hard, we may disconnect from ourselves and the people around us. Wherever you are in your journey, my goal is to help you reconnect to the things that drive meaning, purpose and satisfaction in your life. As a MENA therapist, these are the things that drive meaning in my work with you. Like the navigator in your car: If you tell me where you want to go, I can help you uncover what lies ahead and navigate through it. My work is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), incorporating mindfulness, intentionality and social context. No matter the ordeal that brings you in, I aspire to create an anchoring space that invites calm, reflection and malleability. Like the “Room of Requirement,” a space that can transform to meet your needs in the moment. A space where you can feel more freely so that you may live more freely.

Helping people who feel stuck get unstuck is my passion. Finding balance and addressing feeling disconnected or overwhelmed. Offering enthusiastic support and new perspectives on the underlying reasons a person or couple is struggling and then how to make real change. We will build awareness and incorporate new skills to address whatever feels hard right now. And working towards being more content. Often, this includes helping people learn how to better identify and communicate their needs and hopes and desires. I have an authentic, welcoming, and direct approach. My clinical focus is supporting people in finding satisfaction and enjoying meaningful relationships, including working through both big and small transitions. I am an advocate for social justice and marginalized groups. I am affirming of LGBTQ+ individuals as well as neurodivergent individuals. I have additional experience in supporting parents. This includes during pregnancy and the postpartum time, being a team while experiencing stress in the family, blended families, coparenting after a divorce, and working with parents who have a child or children with medical or mental health conditions, such as ADHD, ASD, and/or other challenges.

You have managed to convince others that you are okay, but you can’t fool yourself. You have felt so overwhelmed for so long you don’t remember what it is like to feel at peace. Your relationships are unsatisfying (or nonexistent), your schedule is out of control, and you aren't even sure what it would look like for you to feel happy with your life. You keep trying to develop healthy habits but you always seem to fall back into the same patterns. At this point, it’s tempting to just accept that your symptoms will never improve. Perhaps you've even tried therapy before but it wasn't as helpful as you had hoped it would be... I understand that the idea of starting trauma therapy can be overwhelming. You might be concerned that trauma therapy will take years before it helps, or you may be worried that you will have to share details about trauma you hoped you would never have to talk about. Fortunately, there is another way to experience relief. I offer two types of evidence based trauma therapy that have both been shown to provide fast relief (and doesn't require you to discuss details of your trauma). I will provide you with a safe space to begin your healing process. I want you to be able to make informed decisions about your health, so contact me now to schedule your free consultation

I am a clinical social worker with an integrative and holistic approach to psychotherapy. My therapy practice is rooted in mindfulness, CBT and DBT approaches, EMDR, and contemporary Psychodynamic therapy. I also draw from the mind-body connection, spirituality, social/cultural influences, neuroscience, and compassion. My background is in social work, which gives me a social justice lens and awareness of how societal factors like inequality and discrimination can affect mental health. I primarily provide psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy/Ketamine assisted psychotherapy at Intero Psychedelic Therapy in St. Paul, MN. Issues I commonly work with include: grief, loss, gender identity, sexual identity, depression, anxiety, trauma, transitions, relationships, stress reduction, and resilience. I also have a background in holistic health, and am passionate about helping people integrate their therapy work with other healthy lifestyle choices and non-Western forms of healing. I bring a warm and non-judgmental presence to my work. I emphasizes safety, attunement, humor, and enjoy being a helper and companion to others as they discover and grow in their own strength and wisdom. I have deep gratitude for this work and for the privilege of being an ally to others on their path to healing.

Arizona: all ages for in-person sessions. Minnesota: ages 14 and up online sessions. Life events can be stressful. There are moments when we all feel overwhelmed and need support. Therapy provides a safe space to work together in exploring solutions to challenging thoughts, feelings, and situations. Interventions are tailored to individual situations and client needs. This can include use of EMDR for trauma processing and challenging negative cognitions, CBT with a psychodynamic and humanistic approach, and play therapy with children. Individuals and families experience moments of distress that impacts everyone in the home. Repairing relationships requires developing communication skills and openness to change. This includes anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, attachment ruptures, school transitions, and complex issues (trauma, grief/loss, parental separation/divorce). As a Registered Play Therapist, I approach child distress as a response to changes in family structure, nurturing and consistency in caregiver relationships, and coordination between parents, social resources, and schools. My play therapy room adds an extra space for a child's healing and growth to occur.
