Please note, I am only taking patients affected by the current war in Israel. I am doing this as a community service for no-fee. As a PhD Clinical Psychologist for over 25 years, I have worked with a wide range of patients including executives, veterans, students and parents. While everyone is unique, my approach to treatment generally focuses on helping the patient understand the connections between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors so that they ultimately can gain better control over all of them and find the personal meaning in their life. I have several areas of specialization. These include, attention disorders, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Post-covid Syndrome, chronic pain, psychological issues related to medical illnesses and disability, unexplained illness, depression and anxiety. My published research includes work in many of these areas. My training has included both intensive study of neuropsychology/cognitive rehabilitation and psychoanalytic post- doctoral coursework. For 22 years, I was on the full-time faculty of the APA-accredited PhD training program at Fairleigh Dickenson University where I taught courses in psychotherapy & psychopathology & supervised graduate students.

My philosophy is to work with patients on a short-term and goal-oriented manner so you can improve your functioning, comfort, and happiness as soon as possible. Every person is different, and I tailor my approach to each patient to find what works for them. I am very interactive and dynamic in my approach, and look at each individual patient (or organization) for their specific needs. I work on providing every individual patient (or business) with a useful, meaningful, and results-oriented learning experience. Hello... my aim is to help you overcome obstacles blocking you from living a full and emotionally healthy life. My approach is eclectic and tailored to the needs of each client; I work with everyone as a collaborator, since YOU are the expert in what you need. Our work together will help uncover the innate wisdom and self-compassion you possess and cultivate skills to help you live the full life you deserve. We can learn much about ourselves through both the laughter and the tears; with acceptance and non-judgment we will get curious about your obstacles and challenges. In this safe environment, we will start with talk and can bring in other tools that make sense for you - mindfulness, awareness of the connectedness of the mind and body, meditation, sound and movement. I specialize in helping clients deal with grief and bereavement and loss of all kinds, as well as anxiety, depression, relationship issues and chronic pain and stress. Let's work together...change is possible. "Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable." ~Mary Oliver

If you've tried to figure it out on your own (or with google/social media support) but are now scrolling through psychology today analyzing therapists pictures who looks like they can help- welcome! You're not alone. The world of mental health can oftentimes feel stuffy and regimented but I strive to make it understandable, informative and to be a real person with you. It takes a skilled therapist to help you repair your tire (process, shift perspectives, problem solve and develop skills) and get back on the road to your desired destination (life goals/lifestyle, intentional living, and follow through). As a self-proclaimed psychology nerd I am trained in CBT, EMDR, DBT, TF- CBT, MST and I strive to provide the most informative care through a variety of learning theories. At the same time, I believe that a therapist's ability to connect on a non-judgmental/human level is just as important as any degree or certification they may have. I practice with the perspective of living intentionally based on YOUR identified values and finding creative ways (and sometimes making hard decisions) to accomplish this. Finding someone you can truly trust can be a difficult decision, please send an email if you're interested in working together. :)
