I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and I have worked for well over a decade with adolescents and their families with all levels of pathology, in a variety of treatment (and educational) settings. I also am specialized working with athletes of all ages, and also have completed countless assessments of collegiate athletes' mental and emotional makeup to aid in professional draft strategy. Lastly, I enjoy working with young adults and other millennial aged individuals who are attempting to establish themselves, whether financially, professionally, with new families, or all of the above. I believe a collaborative approach to treatment is essential with adolescents and their families, and I attempt to tailor my approach in order to meet the unique needs of each individual. I also work with athletes of all ages and skill levels on mental skills development and their related performance goals, enhanced by my prior experience as a varsity coach. I am a published author about the impact of student loans and financial strain upon emerging professionals. My research focused upon the rigors of work-life balance, student loan repayment, and related challenges. Aiding healthy adult development in an increasingly competitive world is an important area for therapeutic attention.

I see the counseling experience as being similar to solving a jigsaw puzzle. When an individual enters my office with a box of pieces, maybe having a partial picture, maybe some of the pieces seem lost; I see it as my responsibility to provide a safe and nurturing environment that allows the individual to explore the most difficult aspects of themselves so together the missing pieces can be found and the individual can create the whole picture they want to see. With 20-years of experience in the mental health field, including 8 years of experience as a clinical supervisor, I have been able to assist a wide variety of populations on their quest toward self-discovery. My background includes the Special Education field, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, crisis intervention, trauma, substance abuse, and program management. I have experience working in a variety of mental health facilities and levels of care including hospital programs, private practice, schools, residential facilities, and in-community services. Recently I have obtained specialized training to work with First Responders and I volunteer with the NJ Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association!
