Have you been struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, addiction, moods, or anything else that feels too big to manage alone? Many times when support/help isn't available, people can turn to unhealthy coping skills and adaptations that don't actually serve them. Engaging in therapy can help identify what skills the client is already using that may be working for them, and also incorporate new ones! Resiliency is actually learned so we can work towards improving it. I believe you are the expert of your life, and just may need a little boost. To help support clients, I gear treatment towards the clients needs ie: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, & Polyvagal and other modalities that can be discussed. I have practiced for 12 years, and my work shifted when I started to practice the Polyvagal Theory and Post Traumatic Growth. The Polyvagal Theory means that we can bring compassion to our humanness, and learn the biology and nervous system responses. Being in ones body is a huge part of healing. The first step to asking for help can be the hardest, but my job is to provide a safe place for you to reach out, and for us to work together on your healing journey!

Accepting New Clients I work with teens and adults from a client centered focus, using primarily CBT and EMDR, to help people who are struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. I use a trauma- informed lens, creating a safe environment where healing can occur at a comfortable pace. I help the client build emotional safety, knowing that a client’s behavior is not who they are, but rather coping skills that they have learned because of their history. I support clients in non-judgmental exploration of beliefs and behaviors and empower them to choose new beliefs and behaviors, allowing for healing and growth. I graduated from the University of New England in June of 2020 with a master’s degree in social work and am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
