I also use mindfulness techniques such as yoga, meditation, and breath work to clear out anxiety and negative emotional clutter. I also like to incorporate fiction, poetry, and self-help literature into the therapy process as a way of reducing the sense of isolation that emotional pain can create. Journaling exercises can be an illuminating and cathartic way to accelerate therapy if you enjoy this form of expression.

At Reno Psy Services we specialize in psychological assessment including clinical assessment, forensic assessment, and neuropsychological assessment. Typical reasons why clients may be referred to me are for diagnostic clarification (e.g., ADHD, Dementia, Traumatic brain Injury, Learning Disabilities etc.) and treatment recommendations. In the case of forensic assessment psychological assessment is typically performed in the context of divorce proceedings, personal injury litigation, or criminal proceedings.The cost of psychological testing starts at $750 and can be $2,500+ depending on what is needed. We use evidence-based treatments and we work with you in the first session to develop a treatment goal and treatment plan.The initial intake is $250 and one-hour sessions thereafter are billed at $125 per session. Payment is due at the time of service. We do not accept insurance at this time.
