"I believe that life should be lived with passion and meaning. Anything that is getting in the way of this can be changed or accepted. Through counseling, I will help you alter the course you and your loved ones are traveling in a compassionate and nonjudgmental way. Together, we will find more passion and meaning in your life." My academic training began at the University of Notre Dame, with a B.A., continued at the University of Dayton, with a MS.Ed., and concluded with a Ph.D. at Kent State University. My aim is to facilitate a counseling process that is affirming, holistic, integrative, and systemic with individuals, families, and couples with whom I work. An additional perspective I bring is that of a former competitive athlete, and I use my experiences to cultivate wellness in professional and novice athletes to promote mind-body-spirit well-being. My practice is supplemented by my work experiences in academia. I previously taught Psychology and Women's Studies at the high school level and counseling courses at the graduate school level. I continue to compliment my practice with theory, and highlight a collaborative relationship to move toward client's/s' goal attainment.
