Accepting NEW Clients (ages 18-65) as of 1/3/23 for Tele-Psychiatry (medication treatment only, not therapy). Appointments are available in 2 weeks. Complete the Patient Inquiry Form on my website. You will receive a response the same or next day. My practice is primarily composed of adults struggling with anxiety and depression. I find that people reach out to treatment when excessive worry, low motivation, and negative thinking can lead to feeling less confident in their work, behind on tasks at home, and impacting their relationships. I don't treat ADHD and I don't prescribe controlled substances, such as Xanax for anxiety. I have successfully helped people reduce anxiety and depression that has only partially been helped through therapy by adding psychiatric medication that is targeted to treat worry, panic, OCD, depression and bipolar symptoms. I have advanced training in using research-based medication approaches to make a specific plan for your particular symptoms. If you want to know more about the medications you are taking or are uncertain if medication is right for you, I will help you understand your options. Please visit my website and complete the Patient Inquiry Form. Responses in 1-2 days. Please include your insurance name and member ID so we can do a benefits check for you. We don't take Medicare or OHP.

The mind, body, and spirit are inseparable. Therefore, there can be physical circumstances underlying mental health disorders, and vice versa. A person may be experiencing unknown food allergies, inadequate nutrition or vitamin deficiency, environmental toxicity or have genetic factors that lead to suboptimal function and disease. I have been very successful working with patients with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disturbances using an integrated naturopathic approach. My treatment plans include diet and lifestyle modifications, nutraceutical and herbal interventions, counseling, physical medicine, and prescriptive medications. My approach is holistic and goes beyond the benefits of talk therapy alone. During my training, I spent the better part of a year studying with a mentor who was dual licensed as an MD/ND and a board certified psychiatrist. She taught me a great deal about integrating naturopathic modalities and managing prescriptive medications relevant to mental health. What I offer is a unique approach to patients and a different perspective on health and wellness. My goal is to empower my patients and assist them in making the most effective decisions about their healthcare. I collaborate with my patients to design plans that suit their needs and goals.

I work with people who want something to change in their life. Whether that is their depression or anxiety, their relationship with alcohol or other substances, or their activation related to past traumatic events. In order to make big (or little) changes we have to first be compassionatly aware and then work together to design and implement a flexible plan. Shifting your experience in life takes great bravery and compassion, I support this process by providing compassion, deep listening, and humor. I believe strongly in your wisdom and ability to find healing. I utilize a variety of strategies to help you achieve your goals. Some of these strategies include parts work, mindfulness, harm reduction, Brainspotting, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT. I also provide preparation and integration sessions for psychedelic therapy. See website for more information - hartnw.org Your health and wellbeing are one of your most valuable assets.
