My counseling approach involves meeting people where they are. I support clients through a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, and many more. I incorporate Person Centered, CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused, and Strength-Based counseling. I believe that therapy should be a tool in everyone's toolbox to not only deal with life's major crisis, but also to manage and learn how to be an overall healthy individual. I provide my clients with a safe space where they are welcomed with empathy, unconditional positive regard, genuineness and authenticity. My goal is to help my clients become the best version of themselves and guide them towards self actualization. This is facilitated through a collaborative process where the client is the author of their own story. As an African-American male, I understand the stigma attached to mental health. I want to aid in the fight towards breaking the stigma. Mental strength is not the ability to stay out of the darkness; it's the ability to sit present in the darkness knowing that the light will shine again. The counseling process is just that, a process. Let's journey together!
