My approach to therapy is person-centered and filled with empathy and understanding. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment to share your thoughts and concerns. I utilize a number of approaches including CBT, play therapy, motivational interviewing, parent coaching and mindfulness practices. I am always eager to expand on my knowledge and stay current on updates within the mental health field. I want to partner with you on this journey to creating a happier and healthier life. My experience encompasses a variety of different areas, including school-based mental health services, outpatient therapy, telehealth and in-home services. I work primarily with children 12 years and under but have a history treating adolescents, adults, and senior citizens. We can work together to improve effective communication, develop healthy coping skills and increase personal strengths. I am familiar with trauma and behavioral challenges in young children. I believe in collaborating with parents and teachers to help them learn the tools to improve relationships and nurture the development of young children.

My experience includes collectively working with individuals to explore various mental health barriers, addiction, relationship issues, grief/loss, trauma, life adjustments, and crisis. Social Work is a field that suits my strengths, interests, and professional approach to working. I have always had a genuine desire and passion to help others create positive change within their lives regardless of how small or significant it may be. I understand how important it is to have safe place to be heard.

I enjoy working with children and teens with a variety of emotional and behavioral issues including acting out, putting blame on others, refusing to follow rules, questioning authority, experiencing excessive worry, fear and anxiety, arguing, throwing temper tantrums, hyperactivity, short attention span, impulsiveness, aggression or self-injurious behavior. I have years of experience in guiding children and teens to navigate separation/divorce, chronic disease and death of a loved one. My treatment goals include expanding on existing strengths, improving communication, developing healthy coping skills and promoting mindfulness. My office is handicap accessible. Office Hours Monday-Thursday 9-6PM. Closed Friday.
