I am skilled in a variety of therapeutic approaches to assist clientele with achieving their personal goals. I have vast experience in working with individuals from kindergarten through the geriatric stage of life. I provide outpatient counseling for those struggling with various mental health issues (i.e. Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, etc.), behavioral problems, survivors of domestic violence/sexual abuse/rape, grief and loss, self-esteem, marital/couple's counseling, and parenting. I recently added a new service to my private practice. I now offer divorce mediation. Divorce can be lengthy and stressful. Some may need more assistance than others through this journey. For additional information about the role of divorce mediation in obtaining an uncontested divorce, feel free to contact me. I recognize the importance of seeking assistance during crucial times in your life. I know that many people just want to explore and process through life changes. Although I cannot do the work for you, I am here to guide you through that journey. You will not have to do it alone!

I believe that recovery is possible for everyone and healing occurs best in the context of an authentic, trusting relationship. Many of my clients come to me after other short-term therapy approaches have not worked for them. We work not only to manage distressing symptoms, but also to break enduring patterns related to identity, relationships, emotional expression, and safety that often stem from earlier experiences where we felt unsafe, out of control, or invalidated. In therapy we work to make meaning out of past experiences, break those patterns, learn more about ourselves, and move towards the life we want. I completed my doctoral training at the University of Indianapolis then completed my internship and post-doctoral residency at the Institute of Living in Hartford, Connecticut. I work with individuals with complex trauma or grief and couples experiencing relationship issues. I also have specialized experience treating psychotic disorders and bipolar disorder I’ve found that it's invaluable to find trusted people to sit with you in your pain without trying to problem-solve or talk you out of it. I strive to be collaborative, working with clients at the pace that feels right or safe to them. My approach is strengths-based and my favorite part of therapy is being able to help clients see how resilient they are.
