The common misconception is that therapy is for "crazy" or "sick" people. Instead I believe it is a chance to work with clients on how to use their challenges as opportunities for change and growth. It is also a time to better understand our view of the world, examine any relationship issues, and become better versions of ourselves. I focus on each individual's unique characteristics, instead of what a diagnosis may say about them. View 4 Photos As a LMFT my therapeutic style is a collaborative and supportive one. I believe that each client is the expert of their own lives and it is my job to assist them along the journey of their life. I work from a strength-based approach to help clients discover and utilize their own individual strengths. I have availability in the late evening and weekend in order to provide appointment times for those with scheduling difficulties.

I treat adults with PTSD, personality disorders, survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, religious trauma, people with suicidal thoughts or self harm, depression, grief, loss, and many other issues. I also see clients diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I work with folks on issues regarding family life: parenting and other relationships. In your therapy, I will work carefully to provide a calm, warm, safe space in which to explore your unique self, and what happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment look like for you. As therapy progresses, we will talk about everything that is important to you. I offer in person sessions informed by DBT, IFS, and CBT aimed at helping you to do and feel better as you define it. I work from a relational, client centered approach. In my practice I have several openings at present and am eager to be of help to you as soon as possible. While I do not take insurance, I offer a sliding fee scale and will work with you to make therapy with me approachable and affordable. I look forward to hearing from you!

*OREGON RESIDENTS ONLY AT THIS TIME!* Underneath whatever label is put on the "disorder de jour", my clients have one thing in common: they are all in pain. They are all living with uncomfortable emotions they would rather not have. Sometimes its depression taking their joy, anxiety keeping them up at night... sometimes its marital issues, struggling with the loneliness of identity concerns or preparing for or recovering from major life transitions. I can help guide you through your pain by helping you learn ways to manage it while growing toward YOUR idea of your "best" self. View 7 Photos I help clients by teaching Mindfulness-based therapeutic coping skills. Those skills assist the client to gain clarity on their life, goals and purpose, find their voice, strengthen self-identity and gracefully part company with toxicity. I gently guide my clients' journey of building their "best selves" and live in happiness and peace. I understand the weight of whatever pain you are carrying. I also understand how joyous it can be to shed the blanket of darkness, misery and unhappiness. Give yourself permission to give back to yourself... Send me an email briefly explaining your situation. I give 30 min. free consults to people who contact me from this posting.
