I enjoy helping people work through their mental health challenges to build more satisfying lives. This happens through individual counseling as well as couple and/or family counseling. I also enjoy working with adolescent-aged children and often incorporate family therapy as part of the process. Let's face it, people sometimes just get stuck and need to figure out how to improve their lives. What better way to do that than privately with a trained professional who likes helping people improve their lives! I have been trained to work with individuals, families, and couples using both individual and systems-based psychological approaches. Some of my favorite approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Gottman Institute approach for helping couples, Structural Family Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and more. We were not made to "go it alone" in this life. We are social creatures that do the best when we can enjoy meaningful relationships. Therapy is simply a way to help you gain a new perspective on your circumstances and also to learn effective tools to help you navigate through the complexities of this life. I look forward to getting to know you better.
