Please e-mail, to be placed on waitlist. After 15 years working with community-based, non-profit agencies in multiple roles as well as about 20 years working with vulnerable youth, I am happily dedicated to private practice care. My practice is centered around whole-person treatment. Together, we will explore root causes to your symptoms, the narrative of your family system, process old trauma and develop healthy coping skills to manage your symptoms. Trauma, OCD, Generalized Anxiety and Codependency Treatment, are my primary specialties, and I look forward to learning about and helping you identify your unique goals for therapy. I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Trauma-Focused CBT as well as Short-term, Solution Focused Therapy, are efficient in the goal-setting process for most clients. I also use Narrative Therapy and Depression Treatment Quality Improvement (DTQI) methods to support reducing Depression. Treatment is not one-size fits all. My approach is to hold empathy, compassion and work from the stance that everyone can grow into the person they want to be. I do my best to be real and infuse humor in my style of therapy. I believe in humility and appropriate self-disclosure, but the focus is always on you! If you would like a free-consult, please e-mail for the fastest response!

My approach to therapy is that “no one size fits all,” and to meet you where you are at in a non-judgmental space. I work with adults in individual, group, and couples therapy, with people struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, and other mental health issues detrimental to a fulfilling life. All of my client relationships begin with an opportunity for you to talk and to have someone listen. Whether you are a young professional or recent graduate, or undergoing a transition that finds you stuck at a crossroad, I have the experience to support you as you take the next step. In our sessions, we will explore different chapters in your life, considering how that past has shaped your present, and how to set the stage for a fulfilling future. I take a solutions-oriented approach, incorporating talk therapy with mindfulness, and and as a classically-trained pianist I also employ therapeutic interventions using music. Coming to therapy for the first time may feel intimidating, which is why I strive to create a safe, accepting space where we can work together. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, and welcomes all gender identities, sexual orientations, and cultures. Feel free to reach out for a free consultation or for more information.

This is not the life you pictured, is it? You know things need to change but have no idea where to start. Being a human in this fast-paced society is quite difficult and often times heartbreaking. I strive to place the therapeutic relationship as my primary focus, because until someone feels authentically accepted, change is not going to be possible. You came here to change things in your life but ironically, first you have to learn to accept who and what you are, right in this moment. I can help you get to that place! I mix science of the brain & body in combination with identifying the many loops and patterns we tend to get "stuck" in, to help clients achieve authentic change, and a more peaceful outlook on themselves and their life.

Times of transition can leave us feeling disoriented, uprooted, and tug at old emotional wounds. Finding our way through the rocky terrain of loss often compels us to reshape priorities, redefine ourselves, and re-imagine our future. If you are grieving the death of someone in your life, facing an uncertain diagnosis, an empty nest, the loss of a relationship, changing employment, adjusting to a geographical move, or experiencing other significant changes in your life, it would be my honor to support you in exploring the layers of your loss, finding your footing again, and restoring your hope for a meaningful future. I offer a safe, accepting, and nurturing setting for exploring the complexity of emotions, changes and challenges that may accompany times of transition, loss and uncertainty in our lives. I approach grief not as a problem to be solved, but rather as a natural, human response to loss. Your grief needs and deserves a witness. Our work together may incorporate mindfulness and self compassionate practices, as well as the use of writing as a means of expression, release and healing. I welcome the opportunity to create space for you to acknowledge and explore the painful aspects of loss and change, while also inviting room for possibilities of healing, regrounding and reconnection.

The client-therapist rapport is a potent common factor in therapy success. You want to feel comfortable opening up and sharing your truths. Have you found yourself struggling with a change in your life that has left you feeling uncomfortable with your current emotional state. I offer a place to clear your head, organize your thoughts, and express your feelings without judgement. Give yourself permission to pause, process and then progress. I take pride in helping clients who may be struggling to find balance, purpose and a sense of normalcy again. I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with relationship issues, self -esteem, sexual orientation, acculturating, "adulting", or who find themselves in transition. For many of us asking for help can be daunting; especially if we are the ones that everyone else comes to for help. I want you to know that it's okay for you to need help too. It doesn't make you less of a leader, friend, mother, father, wife, son or daughter; It makes you human. I invite you to make yourself a priority and take care of you.

I'm not currently accepting new patients. Has anxiety or OCD taken a starring role your life? You have aspirations but they fall victim to doubts: “what ifs,” catastrophes, fear of judgement, panic. Or maybe compulsions are preventing you from engaging the way you want to. I can help you kick anxiety to the back seat so you can accomplish your goals and achieve the peace you deserve. I've completed specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. Anxiety disorders and OCD are my specialty. I work with folks 18+ exclusively through videoconferencing so I can see you no matter where in Georgia you happen to be. I want people to know that therapists don't belong on pedestals; we have our own struggles and good therapists use them to become better practitioners. I chose my specialty because I've been there. If you're looking for a nonjudgemental therapist that shows her humanity and embraces it with humor then I might be a good fit for you.

We all share the basic human need to achieve self-actualization. In order to improve, we must first understand what we are working with. Therapy provides a safe and trusting space to explore ourselves as a whole, separate from our own judgements. I practice and teach mindfulness as a method to gain self-awareness that produces change in the way we interact with ourselves and our environment. Therapy is a beautiful path to recognize your own power while simultaneously removing the power we have assigned to thoughts or behaviors. I have extensive experience providing therapy in both hospital and community settings. I specialize in treating addiction, anxiety, depression, and anger management. As a clinician, I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapy. I am certified to practice Mindfulness. My goal is to help improve clients’ overall wellbeing by reducing reactions to anxiety, stress, sadness and anger.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist who enjoys working with couples, families, and individuals of all ages who desire a stronger connection with their loved ones. The most important aspect of therapy is helping clients uncover their inherent strengths and empowering them to create lasting change in themselves and their relationships! As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I utilize systems theory when working with clients toward their goals. Systems thinking emphasizes the ways in which we are all interconnected and all influenced by our environment, including our personal family history and past events. I believe that the quality of our relationships greatly influences our quality of life! I completely understand that taking the steps to seek therapy can be tough. I am here to listen and collaborate with you, not make judgments or talk you out of how you're feeling. We all need help sometimes, and knowing when to reach out is a major strength.
