After 15 years working with community-based, non-profit agencies in multiple roles as well as about 20 years working with vulnerable youth, I am happily dedicated to private practice care. My practice is centered around whole-person treatment. Together, we will explore root causes to your symptoms, the narrative of your family system, process old trauma and develop healthy coping skills to manage your symptoms. Trauma, OCD, Generalized Anxiety and Codependency Treatment, are my primary specialties, and I look forward to learning about and helping you identify your unique goals for therapy. I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or Trauma-Focused CBT as well as Short-term, Solution Focused Therapy, are efficient in the goal-setting process for most clients. I also use Narrative Therapy and Depression Treatment Quality Improvement (DTQI) methods to support reducing Depression. Treatment is not one-size fits all. My approach is to hold empathy, compassion and work from the stance that everyone can grow into the person they want to be. I do my best to be real and infuse humor in my style of therapy. Engaging in therapy is an important commitment and can be difficult to fit in with the rest of life's responsibilities.
