Do people ask how you are doing and the answer is always “fine” or “ok”? Or maybe you avoid letting yourself feel uncomfortable emotions? Possibly putting off facing them until you feel more ready, but that day never comes? Depression, anxiety, and trauma can do that to us. They can change our trajectory in life, veer us off course of who we were meant to be. Shadows from the past can loom over us forever. If this is your experience, my sincerest hope is one day you will feel ready to no longer allow your past to place limits on the future. With my 14 years of experience in the field, my goal is to promote a safe space for us to fully understand your experience. Using a nonjudgmental approach, we will explore the ways you want to feel, what's standing in the way, and how to get you where you want to be. It takes courage to choose you, to take the time and do the work to invest in yourself. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. It is brave to share yourself with a stranger. I'd be honored for the opportunity to share your journey and together figure out how to get closer to the life you were meant to live. A life with purpose and fulfillment. You deserve a sense of passion and a life of worth. You deserve a life without limits.

Hi there! I am SO glad that you are here. I specialize in helping individuals heal from trauma that was experienced either in childhood or later in life, and the numerous things that often follow. For some individuals this looks like healing shame, anxiety, depression, grief, difficulty with connection or attachment in relationships, struggles with intimacy or trust, addictions or compulsive behaviors, disordered eating, and a multitude of other things. I believe healing occurs best in supported connection. I work to create a safe space where you feel comfortable examining beliefs and behaviors that may no longer serve you and begin the process of healing. I’ve been where you are. I know the struggles of feeling stuck and overwhelmed as well as the joy and light that can exist on the other side. I take a collaborative approach to the counseling relationship and am in no way a "sit-and-nod" therapist! I believe fully that YOU are the expert on your life and my hope is to help guide your journey to healing and growth while promoting your autonomy and power of choice.

In my office or virtually, I offer a safe space, an empathic heart, and a variety of brain-based, trauma-centered modalities. View 10 Photos EMDR and Brain Spotting are my two favorite modalities, and both can be done virtually. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant in Training (CIT). I am a Certified Brainspotting Therapist and working toward a specialized track in BSP and spirituality . Check out www.EMDRIA.org and www.Brainspotting.com for more info. I believe that we are all beings who ultimately desire to belong and that most of our traumas result from somewhere down the line not being accepted in some way, shape, or form. Frequently these wounds are in our subconscious and we have very little awareness of how much they can control our day-to-day interactions. What’s left unaddressed has a funny way of continuing to surface. I am dedicated to psycho-social treatments that are tailor-made to the individual and include sensitivity and respect for their cultural and spiritual framework. I offer a holistic approach to treating trauma and its effects on mind, body and spirit. I do not take commercial insurance but offer sliding-scale telehealth only at this time. As a queer neurodivergent non-binary (trans-masc) clinician they/she, my counseling work has a strong emphasis on LGBTQIA2S+ as well as survivors of both spiritual abuse, narcissistic abuse, sexual abuse/assault (including childhood sexual abuse) and adult children of childhood abuse.

I treat adults with PTSD, personality disorders, survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, religious trauma, people with suicidal thoughts or self harm, depression, grief, loss, and many other issues. I also see clients diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I work with folks on issues regarding family life: parenting and other relationships. In your therapy, I will work carefully to provide a calm, warm, safe space in which to explore your unique self, and what happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment look like for you. As therapy progresses, we will talk about everything that is important to you. I offer in person sessions informed by DBT, IFS, and CBT aimed at helping you to do and feel better as you define it. I work from a relational, client centered approach. In my practice I have several openings at present and am eager to be of help to you as soon as possible. While I do not take insurance, I offer a sliding fee scale and will work with you to make therapy with me approachable and affordable. I look forward to hearing from you!

Your whole life, you’ve been told that you’re “too much.” Too sensitive, too emotional, too high-maintenance. At the same time, you’ve been made to feel that you’re not enough in many ways. But they don’t see the whole picture. How your sensitivity to others' words and feelings makes you so empathetic and caring, or the way that you notice all the small details that other people tend to miss. You're cautious and deliberate, but you also tend to come up with the most creative solutions. You might be "picky" about the way things feel, but you also know exactly how to transform a space into a cozy, welcoming haven for others. The demands of daily life can be draining when you feel everything so deeply, but you can create a life that nourishes and recharges your energy instead of leaving you overwhelmed and irritable. I love working with clients like you, who are meticulous, insightful, and unwilling to settle for just getting by. I want you to discover what I already know: that your sensitivity is in fact your greatest strength. I have a special interest in working with sensitive parents, mothers with infants and toddlers, and young professional women. Email is the best way to reach me, and I have several clinicians at my practice so please contact me for availability!

I've spent my life searching. And in that quest I have explored my own struggles in life, battled my demons, and have experienced both the joys and the hardships that life so often delivers. It was my own questioning that led me to become a therapist; I want to dig deeper, I want to know more, and I want to help others on their journey as well. I have fought the battle of addiction and have come to know the freedom of recovery. I also understand the complexities of relationships and how they affect our sense of being connected. I utilize Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and Solutions Focused Therapy and have completed extensive trainings in Brainspotting Trauma Care, DBT for Adolescents, Attachment Theory for couples and relationships, and offer Intervention Services worldwide. I specialize in substance use disorders and how they effect the entire family, but also work with a variety of relational and emotional issues. I believe we all possess the potential to lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives... sometimes we just need a little guidance out of the darkness and back into the light.
