I provide in-person and teletherapy services. I offer outdoor based therapy interventions where we will often meet at public park settings. I have found that Ecotherapy can be a successful technique for individuals who struggle with life transitions, self esteem, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. The activities can vary depending on the season and person. Some examples are: forest bathing, fishing, folfing, snowshoeing, forest foraging, swimming, rafting, skiing etc. Ecotherapy is an alternative approach which may be useful to you if you struggled with traditional in-office therapies. Ecotherapy is an alternative approach that combines the inherit benefits of being in nature with psychotherapy. Nature has been proven to benefit our physical and mental health in a variety of ways and I wish to capitalize that benefit to help you with your personal struggles. Mental health struggles are often complex and deeply entrenched in our lives. They can take time to understand and work through. Sometimes we need an alternative type of therapy to work through these struggles. I aim to provide that service to you if you are seeking therapy for the first time or have worked with other therapists.

My work has led me to believe in the human capacity for emotional health & resilience under even the toughest of circumstances. I have been a psychotherapist for over 30 years, so my practice has both depth and breadth. I have much experience working with depression and anxiety, addictions and recovery, all types of trauma, and relationship issues of all kinds. I welcome LGBTQ+ individuals, folx from non-dominant cultural backgrounds, and I enjoy working with individuals, couples, "pods," and families. My goal is the empowerment of everyone I serve. I have worked in a wide range of settings. I know the traditional behavioral health world of diagnosis and treatment planning for depression/anxiety, co-occurring disorders, and substance use disorders; I mainly work in non-medical, non-traditional ways, including Internal Family Systems and Gestalt therapy-both present moment, creative, somatic therapies. I have been told that I work with an open heart. My intuition is sharp. I use IFS and Gestalt therapy as a foundation and lead clients to where their Desire is realized. I also have an inclusive mindset, and am able to be present and connect with each unique person I serve. Presence and compassion are the foundation of my work.

If you are feeling disconnected, helpless, or stuck, I can assist you in changing the patterns and ways of relating which might be holding you back. By prioritizing your sense of safety, welcoming heavy emotions, and guiding you to meet/heal unknown parts of yourself or your partner, you can gain freedom from the patterns in which you feel trapped. I work with individuals and couples, supporting them to understand the ways they manage stress through retreating inward and shutting down, or turning outwards for connection and validation. From there, I help clients to better understand who they are and what they need. I work with couples to calm their painful patterns by learning how to avoid their well-worn dance, share what happens on the inside of them during moments of stress or conflict, and be more responsive when their partner reaches for them. Where there have been fractures in trust or security, it is possible to repair these hurts and restore emotional security. Connecting with yourself and others can be scary, especially if it has caused pain in the past. The behaviors causing us the most difficulty are oftentimes our best attempts at feeling calm, safe, or worthy. You deserve to experience peace and wholeness, individually or as a couple.
