Hi there. As a therapist, my style is warm and hopeful. I use both evidenced based practices or a faith approach depending on your preference. My time in social work began almost 20 years ago. Over the years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have witnessed how “hurt people, hurt people”. My work is dedicated to helping individuals work through areas of their life where they may be hurting or are being hurt by someone else. My experiences as a therapist have allowed me to work with adolescents, adults, and the aging population in various professional settings. I have helped empower individuals to identify and magnify their natural supports and strengths in order to move through some of life’s most difficult circumstances. My approach to helping my clients on their journey is by using a secular or theological approach according to my client’s requests and preferences. Whatever your preference, I will help you make sense of feelings and behaviors while using empathy, empowerment, and education. If you are ready to do the work, therapy can help you make changes quicker than ever before.

"Yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise so I am changing myself." This quote by Rumi sums up my approach to therapy. I provide compassionate and honest therapy for adults who want to understand how your past impacts, change habits and perspectives that have been holding you back, and create healthy relationships with yourself and others to have a fulfilling and whole life. We all experience traumas and difficulties on a daily basis. Most of the time we can cope just fine; however sometimes life overwhelms us and leaves us stuck. That’s where I come in! I hold the space and time sacred for you to share about the negatives and celebrate the positives. Therapy is a relationship. We will use curiosity, mindfulness, and grounding techniques to explore new perspectives, identify your strengths, and develop skills to move you forward. What happens to you does not define you! You are the author of your story and you decide what the book looks like. Events and experiences can be your entire story, or they could be just a chapter, or a single sentence. I want you to own your strengths and acknowledge your own control. I will work beside you to explore your parts and integrate them into a unique and powerful whole.

A native to Delaware, I received my Undergraduate Degree in Sociology, with a Minor in Womens' Studies at The University of Delaware. After completing my degree, I attended Widener University where I completed my Masters Degree in Social Work. Since 2009, I have been in the field of helping others in various capacities, such as: a facilitator for bereaved children, a social worker in an acute care inpatient setting, and a clinician in a substance abuse/mental health outpatient agency. Wearing many hats, such as a parent of premature children with health difficulties and a spouse to a First Responder, I understand being pulled in many different directions. I also empathize with feeling that your self care may fall to the bottom of your never ending "to do" list. I offer a safe place to process the trauma, in an office that is not over stimulating for the senses. I incorporate several treatment interventions, tailored to what you need at that time. With a combination of firsthand experience and clinical knowledge, I can help navigate you through these difficult times. I have numerous treatment approaches, tailored to each client’s needs.
