3/1/23 Not Accepting Clients - Therapy offers a space for people to feel seen, understood, and accepted for their experience without judgment. I begin this process by developing a collaborative, safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. At the heart of my approach lies my belief that a sense of authenticity, choice, and belonging allows people to live full and meaningful lives. I support individuals to arrive at their goals through a process of self-reflection to reveal unconscious beliefs, free oneself from unhelpful habitual patterns, repair past wounds, access innate potential for growth and enhance connections with others. I develop an integrative and tailored approach to help individuals recognize their inherent strengths and realize their desired outcomes through the use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based and Compassion-Focused Therapies, DBT Skills, Attachment Work, EMDR, Psychedelic Integration, and Humanistic-Existential Theories. Discovering meaning, joy and fulfillment in life is possible. With acceptance, warmth, and curiosity, I invite you to create space for self-awareness, build emotional resilience, heal from trauma and strengthen relationships. Please contact me so that I may support your journey towards vitality and living well.

I offer empowered and embodied therapy for folks seeking to transform challenges and distress into a catalyst for deep healing. My approach is warm, real, relatable, and comes with a sense of humor. I specialize in work with complex trauma, anxiety, grief, codependency, radical self-love, and self-acceptance. I am EMDR trained. Coming from a blended family that is White, Black, Latinx, and Jewish, I am committed to questioning identity dynamics, power, privilege, and positionality. I am dedicated to social justice and will support you in using your personal healing to work towards collective liberation and social change. I work from a psychodynamic and somatic lens that combines talk therapy with mind-body inquiry and education about how the brain, body, and nervous system affect emotions. This work helps folks find tools to understand emotional processes and capacity to be with discomfort. As the body can be a source of pain and oppression, I hold this work with great care. I welcome the opportunity to work with clients from different backgrounds and seek to maintain humility and sensitivity in work with clients who hold different identities such as race, gender, sexual orientation, culture, age, socioeconomic status, and ability status. Working alongside you is an honor and privilege I will treat with deep respect.

How can you learn to let go? People suffer because of things have happened to them: a bad relationship, family issues, transitions to a new life stage, early childhood trauma. Sometimes it feels like those past injuries hold you in place, make it so you’re barely treading water. These injuries cause anxiety and depression, addiction, nightmares, isolation, a lack of connection. My focus is experiential -- working with the emotions that come up in the room. I use a variety of techniques, like mindfulness and EMDR, to process and move through challenging life experiences. My goal is help you discover your own strengths, and connect to your own amazing resilience to process difficult moments and interrupt unhealthy habits. Letting go is hard. It can be difficult to accept our past struggles, but we can change and grow by letting go. I believe that my role as a therapist is help you change your relationship to your suffering.

My goal is to help you create the changes you want for your life. Whether you would like to experience less anxiety, handle grief with more grace, improve relationships, or process past trauma, I want to help you get to where you are going. I strive to show up as an ally for our BIPOC and LGBTQ communities. Hablo español con fluidez. Clientes hispanohablantes son siempre muy bienvenidos. Some of my sessions are conducted on hiking trails for people who feel they would benefit from outdoor therapy. At this time I am only working with adults over 18, and only in individual therapy. I meet with clients in my office in Montpelier, and on trails for outdoor counseling. I specialize in working with trauma and PTSD, anxiety and emotional disorders, grief and loss, and psychedelic integration. The main tools in my toolbox are Internal Family Systems therapy, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and mindfulness. My process begins with a free 20 minute phone call to get a sense of your needs and assess if we are a good fit for each other. I invite you to reach out by email with any questions you may have. Asking for help can be difficult. Taking that first step to reach out can be powerful.
