Greetings! My name is Darniel J. Mojica, LCSW, and I am the proud founder of Sound Mind Counseling, a place "Where healing begins with a conversation." Sound Mind was established to fulfill my vocation and mission to assist individuals facing severe challenges by offering mental health services that are both practical and collaborative. In my experience working across diverse cultures and social strata in the mental health sector, I've learned that a troubled, preoccupied, or suffering mind can prevent us from achieving our full potential. Such a state can hinder us, and our internal turmoil often manifests in our external world, impacting everything within our reach, including relationships, marriages, self-perception, societal interactions, job performance, and financial stability. Our minds accompany us everywhere, and when they are distressed, we cannot function optimally. As a mental health therapist, my areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, mid-life crises, and work-related stress. My background encompasses working with both adult and child outpatients, as well as emergency mobile crisis intervention. I guide my clients through life's challenges and empower them to enhance their quality of life. I use a collaborative approach in therapy. I believe in partnering and exploration, to have a good understanding of the concerns and work as a team. I believe in communicating openly and honestly to build trust and respect. I will be there every step of the way to listen, challenge, and support you in your journey. There is no "magic wand" that works for everyone so my goal is to work with you to find what works for you specifically. In every session, you will be met with kindness, unconditional positive regard and a dose of humor. You will do some hard work, but you won't be doing it alone. If you're not sure where to start, worried about being judged or just not sure about therapy in general, please reach out! I am happy to meet you for a free consultation and make sure you find the right fit. Ready to schedule a session? Click on the website link above or shoot me an email and let's get started!
