When controversy stands in our way, one of four issues tends to arise. 1. We are not able to implement a coping mechanism, 2. The coping mechanism we implement is unhealthy, 3. The obstacle is being ignored, or 4. We do not recognize there is an obstacle in place. When one, or more, of these situations occur, we see a lowering in daily satisfaction and increased anxiety. To bring healing and balance within ourselves, we must acknowledge the past events that have created fear and shame in our hearts. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and certified in Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) as well as Telehealth and COVID-19. My experience includes children and families suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, nightmares, anger outbursts, and other stress symptoms related to the experience. My main goal in session is to create a warm and safe space for clients to feel welcome and secure. Through the use of spiritually minded counseling, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard Caroline hopes to create a comfortable and warm environment where clients feel confident to explore their relationship with God and self.
