Recent Updates From Danyelle Caruthers
Last updated | Tuesday February 18, 2025

I believe you are the expert in your life. I believe the decision to seek therapy can be beautiful, and complicated because such is life. Healing isn’t linear and is a journey that can be filled with a variety of feelings and emotions–expansion, discomfort, learning, relearning, and unlearning. My goal is to co-create a space and container that will allow you to explore, discover, and tap into parts of yourself unknown to you. I am committed to using a healing-centered, trauma-informed lens and feel your journey of holistic transformation is unique and valuable.
I will foster an empathic and comforting environment that focuses on you, your needs, and your goals. My therapeutic perspective is rooted in Humanistic theory and I work utilizing Womanist, relational, and somatic perspectives, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and attachment-based approaches. I anchor my work in social justice values.
I enjoy working with all types of people, including teenagers, young adults, and adults. My primary focus areas include: trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD, grief, racial identity exploration and processing, queer identity exploration and processing, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and the rediscovery of self.
