Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
I bring compassion and a non-judgmental and active approach to assist you in developing a greater understanding of yourself, overcoming challenges, and living your life to the fullest. I have experience treating a range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also enjoy working with clients who want to explore their identities, personal histories, and relationship issues.
I utilize a number of therapeutic modalities in my work including narrative, cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, internal family systems, EMDR, and mindfulness practices. My approach is holistic, considers the roles of development, society, and culture on individual clients, and emphasizes clients' strengths, social justice, and respect for diversity.
My practice is also informed by specialized training and research I conducted in the areas of trauma and recovery, including the role of therapeutic yoga. Additionally, I am a certified yoga teacher. For interested clients, yoga can be an adjunct of therapy that helps with insight, managing stress, and healing.
