Recent Updates From A Lynne
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
I will be most successful in treating a client who is having difficulty with emotions--such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief--and who is willing to make a commitment to work on changing thinking patterns, behavioral patterns and emotional patterns that are causing misery and distress. This potentially successful client will not just be talking about problems each session, he or she will be learning, practicing and applying new skills. If my client needs medication, I will arrange a medication evaluation by our nurse practitioner, but mainly we will focus on skills, not pills!
I have been a psychiatric nurse since 1971, but became an advanced practice nurse (a nurse-therapist) in 1989. I have broad experience-- working with serious mental illness in the state hospital and working in out-patient clinics with people of all ages and all types of problems.
Our clinic is small and comfortable. You will be treated like our guest. Your therapy experience will be unique and you will be pleased with your results.
