Recent Updates From Amanda Hohag

Therapy is a unique opportunity to explore ourselves, & how we relate to others, in an intentional way. I’ve been providing therapy in private practice for 12+ years & believe a supportive therapeutic relationship is the foundation for a meaningful therapy experience. You can expect compassion, curiosity, & even humor to be a part of our work together. I love to support clients in both symptom reduction, as well as improved wellness & a better sense of self. I work with high achievers who are not used to taking time and space for their own care - college students, parents, executives, helping professions, etc.
I work with individuals (16+) to explore and address anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, grief/loss, family dynamics, and relational concerns. I provide a collaborative space to explore, challenge, and change patterns that no longer serve you. I believe therapy is for everyone and welcome those who are hesitant and/or new to therapy.
My approach is rooted in a non-pathologizing perspective & draws from Narrative, Client-centered, Systems, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Strength-based, & Biopsychosocial therapeutic modalities. I see clients who are struggling & those who are functioning "well enough." Telehealth for maximum convenience + private pay for maximum confidentiality.
