I specialize in treating complicated grief as well as traumatic loss. My education, training, and experience have provided me with the necessary tools to help guide individuals, couples and families through the grieving process. My goal is to help you integrate the loss into your life. Although there is no time limit on grief, people may find themselves stuck in their grief. My training in Complicated Grief Therapy equips me to help mourners during this challenging time. I am experienced in helping clients address a range of situations and challenges, including trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.
I have completed both Level I and Level II of Complicated Grief Therapy training through the Columbia School of Social Work in NYC. In addition, I am a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care provider. After completing my Master of Arts in Counseling at GWU, I completed a two year advanced training program in Couples and Family Therapy.
Dedicated to developing successful relationships with the individuals and couples I work with, I provide a safe, supportive and trustful environment that fosters personal growth. My therapy style is collaborative, warm and interactive. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches with an emphasis on psychodynamic theory.
