Catherine received her MSW from Columbia University and also holds a master’s in clinical psychology from Montclair State University. Catherine uses a variety of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Parent Management Training (PMT), and the Resilience Builder Program (RBP). Catherine specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in youth, teens, and adults as well as the use of parenting programs for youth with disruptive behaviors.
Catherine completed an internship at Yale Child Study Center Program for Anxiety Disorders, where she was trained in CBT for youth with anxiety and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). She also received CBT training from The Beck Institute for CBT for anxiety & depression. She also has been trained in Parent Management Training (PMT).
Catherine takes a collaborative and empathic approach to therapy, joining with clients to work towards their stated goals. Catherine believes in using a strengths-based model, relying primarily on CBT for working with individuals around symptoms of anxiety, depression, & related problems. When not working, Catherine enjoys traveling, hiking and photography.
